We are conscious of the importance of the role of community relations where we have mining operations. The success of our mining operations is strictly linked to our community support, both in Canada and overseas.

We maintain a dialogue with various communities of interest in areas where we operate in a transparent manner to anticipate and address relevant issues of sustainability and will ensure that all our activities are conducted in a responsible and ethical manner.

Prior to the start-up of the Sigma operations we held a number of meetings with citizens’ representatives of the local community, local radio and an employment agency.
We maintain dialogue with all stakeholders and participate actively in mining industry associations to help improve the mining industry and develop the necessary competences in local economic development.
